ANGELA TALKED TO JAMIE about her training experience.

‘My agent training physical was fine, but surprisingly, it stretched me mentally, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Don’t worry; I made sure I wasn’t at the top overall but remained in the top ten percent.’

He reached into his bag and took out a flat, flowery box with an oversized rose-coloured satin bow.

‘I have a present for you.’

Angela clapped. ‘Lovely, a new cruise outfit?’

‘Yes! Go on and take it out of the box,’ urged Jamie.

Angela gave him a quick peck on the cheek and quickly opened the box. However, there was a pause when she explored the fabric within.

Is that stretch fabric? And don’t tell me that’s a cape!

‘It’s your evening cruise outfit. I nicknamed it superhero. It’s waterproof and super stretchy.’

‘Oh, Jamie,’ she said as she looked awkwardly at the suit. ‘It’s not that I’m ungrateful, and I know you mean well, but... yes, I am open to new things, but at my age, I can’t be running around with knickers over tights and a stretchy top. I understand that the outfit is stretchy, but I don’t do tight clothes.’

Jamie smiled.

‘I thought you might say something like that; have a closer look before you turn it down.’

I’ll just smile, accept it, and keep the outfit at the back of my wardrobe, thought Angela.

She removed the tissue paper and held the outfit against her. Angela’s eyes widened, and a genuine smile emerged. The outfit was a combination of blue and grey. It had a high neckline, with a fishtail skirt and leggings combination at the bottom.

I like it; not my usual style, but it has potential!

Jamie watched Angela’s face.

‘Now try it on?’

Angela nodded wearily and went into the bedroom to get changed, leaving Jamie in the living room. In the bedroom, a closer look in the full-length mirror caused her to grin.

Wow, this is stunning!

She returned to the living room, beaming, and did a twirl.

‘Wow! You have outdone yourself. I love the sophisticated collar of the long jacket and the way it drapes over the top of the dress.’

The outfit appeared to be designed to be longer at the back than the front. The smooth silk material glided along her skin, finished with tiny, handmade stitches.

‘I want you to trust me. Try Madam Rhino mode with a couple of action poses.’

Angela grinned as the outfit grew with her muscle expansion without compromise of the style and flow.

Jamie also grinned, followed by a few claps.

The phone rang. It was Stevie to let her know that she would be there in a few minutes. When she walked into the living room she stopped in her tracks as she saw Angela.

‘Granny, you look so... fierce! That is your best cruise outfit so far. It’s so great that you’re taking the opportunity to try something different. It really works!’
